Ruger LCP Max Magpul EHG

Ruger LCP Max EHG Holsters are now available.

The Ruger LCP MAX has been one of the most popular ultra-compact .380 pistols for years, but Ruger’s new collaboration with Magpul takes the platform in a much better direction.

For 2026, Ruger introduced the LCP MAX with Magpul Enhanced Handgun Grip (EHG), replacing the traditional grip frame with a Magpul-designed frame focused on better control, comfort, and consistency. Ruger describes the new model as the next evolution of the LCP MAX platform.

A Much-Needed Grip Upgrade

The original LCP MAX is incredibly easy to conceal, but its small size has always meant compromises in grip and shootability. The new Magpul EHG is a huge improvement in our opinion.

The redesigned grip gives the pistol a more substantial, ergonomic feel without abandoning what made the LCP MAX popular in the first place: a lightweight, extremely compact package that disappears easily when carried.

Magpul’s grip is designed specifically to improve control, comfort, and consistency, and it gives the LCP MAX a noticeably more modern feel.

The new configuration also launches with a 10-round magazine and a new 13-round magazine designed specifically for the EHG, giving shooters another useful option for added capacity and grip length.

Ruger and Magpul Continue Their Collaboration

This isn’t Ruger and Magpul’s first handgun project together. Their collaboration also produced the modular Ruger RXM, and Ruger has indicated that the LCP MAX EHG is only the beginning of what the two companies have planned for the platform.

That could make the LCP MAX platform considerably more customizable moving forward, with Ruger already confirming that additional grip-frame options are planned.

Blacksmith Tactical Holsters for the LCP MAX Magpul EHG

Because the Magpul EHG changes the frame and exterior geometry of the pistol, proper holster fit matters.

At Blacksmith Tactical, we have holsters available specifically for the Ruger LCP MAX with Magpul EHG. Our holsters are designed around the actual configuration rather than relying on a generic or “close enough” LCP MAX fit.

If you’ve picked up the new Ruger/Magpul LCP MAX, we think Ruger finally addressed one of the biggest weaknesses of the original platform—and now you can pair it with a holster made specifically for it.
